    Oscar is not a chatbot. He calls candidates directly, speaks naturally, and understands different languages and accents. Every conversation feels smooth and personal. Oscar asks the right questions, notes down the answers, and then books a meeting with the right consultant – all in one call.

  • 100% personal

    Each conversation is personalized: Oscar tailors his questions and tone using information about the vacancy and the candidate, ensuring relevance and a human touch. Candidates can also ask questions, and Oscar answers them directly. At the end of the call, he provides a brief summary of what was discussed and asks the candidate to confirm, ensuring accuracy and transparency.

  • In- & outbound calls

    Oscar supports both inbound and outbound calls, operating around the clock, so candidates can interact at their convenience and Actief never misses an outreach opportunity.

  • Effortlessly multilingual

    Thanks to his multilingual capability, Oscar can switch effortlessly between Dutch, French, English, or German depending on the candidate’s preference, ensuring every applicant feels heard and understood.

  • A digital colleague

    For consultants, Oscar acts like a digital colleague who takes care of the first contact. He provides short, structured call notes that appear automatically in Actief’s system, allowing consultants to move straight to the next meaningful step and focus on what really matters: getting to know people and making the right match.

Oscar doesn’t operate in isolation — he’s fully embedded in Actief’s daily recruitment workflow. ML6 designed and implemented the complete end-to-end set-up, ensuring that every step of the candidate journey connects smoothly to the tools consultants already use. 

This seamless integration means that Oscar fits naturally into Actief’s existing processes. Consultants don’t need to change their way of working — instead, they simply gain time, efficiency, and visibility, supported by AI technology that feels like part of the team.

Built with Twilio, enabling Oscar to make and receive calls at scale, with high audio quality and local phone numbers for a familiar experience.

The Collaboration

The success of Oscar comes from co-creation. Actief recruiters gave input on how conversations should flow. ML6 translated that into smart technology. And OpenAI’s models provided the foundation for natural, human-like interaction.

This project also illustrates the strength of the new OpenAI Services Partnership. As one of OpenAI’s European services partners, ML6 has direct collaboration lines with OpenAI engineers and early access to new capabilities. This ensures that clients like Actief benefit from the very latest in AI innovation, implemented in a responsible and secure way.
