Club Brugge is working with Ghent-based AI company ML6 on the Club Brugge OS, the club’s own operating system for building artificial intelligence into its daily work, on both the sporting and the business side.
GHENT, BELGIUM – October 27, 2026 – Many organisations today buy a separate AI tool for each department. Club Brugge has chosen a fundamentally different approach: one central system that brings together all of the club’s AI applications. The Club Brugge OS thus becomes a central brain for the entire club. New applications plug into it quickly and securely, and the system connects workflows and data from different teams, so that the club works as one whole, on and off the pitch.

Anyone can buy AI tools today. We want to go further and rethink how a football club works with AI, both on and off the pitch. We believe it starts with a foundation that is one of our own.
Redesigning work around outcomes
The collaboration does not start from how work is done today, but from the outcome the club wants to achieve. Processes are redesigned from that goal backwards, because AI opens up routes that did not exist before. Knowledge and data that are currently spread across departments are being connected. That way, an insight from one team can directly support a decision in another.
People remain in charge throughout. Task by task, staff decide what AI takes on and how they stay involved. AI supports and executes, while the club’s people set the direction and make the decisions.
Built to grow with the club
ML6 accelerates Club Brugge’s engineering team, ensuring the knowledge stays in-house and the club fully owns what it creates.
Over time, the intention is for the Club Brugge OS to become the backbone of the entire organisation. Step by step, more domains can connect to it, from the sporting operations to the commercial and operational teams. Each new application builds on what is already in place, so the club moves faster with every one it adds.
With the new system, the club aims to make faster, better-informed decisions. In European football, margins are thin and the competition is international. A club that makes better use of its data can grow every season and outperform others.

Club Brugge is asking what its work would look like if you redesigned it today with AI. That’s the right question, and the club is asking it earlier than most organizations we talk to.
