Google’s EdgeTPU benchmarked : >10x speedup vs Intel’s Movidius

The benchmark results reveal that Google's EdgeTPU Dev Board outperforms Intel's Movidius Neural Compute Stick in terms of inference time, with a speedup of over 10 times. The comparison was conducted using different setups, including a laptop, the Dev Board, and the Raspberry Pi. The EdgeTPU demonstrated faster inference times and showcased its superiority over the Movidius Stick. Despite some usability challenges with both devices, the EdgeTPU shows promising performance and eagerly anticipates competition from Intel's Movidius Neural Compute Stick 2.
